Almost Queen Performs Freddie Mercury Tribute Sunday in Glen Cove

The free concert is the final performance of this year's Morgan Park Summer Music Festival, now in its 55th year.

Almost Queen, a tribute to Freddie Mercury, performs Sunday at the Morgan Park Summer Music Festival at 7:30 p.m. at Morgan Park in Glen Cove. The free concert concludes the summer concert series, now in its 55th year.

Almost Queen performs the music of the legendary rock group Queen. The ensemble has presented sold-out shows from New York to San Diego and has appeared at international rock festivals. Almost Queen features Joseph Russo as Freddie Mercury, Randy Gregg as John Deacon, John Cappadona as Roger Taylor and Steve Leonard as Brian May.

Picnics, blanket and lawn chairs encouraged. Children are welcome. No alcoholic beverages are permitted in Morgan Park.

Morgan Park is located on Germaine Street at the end of Landing Road in Glen Cove. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, Pearsall Avenue, Glen Cove. Morgan Park Summer Music Festival is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that has been providing free concerts in the park for 55 years. The shows are completely funded through donations that are received from businesses and individuals. Taxpayer money is not requested nor received to bring this high caliber talent to the Festival.
