Come jam/make music, meet staff and campers, and have fun
learning about Beyond Rock, Long Island’s rock music summer camp, where 7-17 year olds of all ability levels have a
blast playing in bands, writing songs, recording, playing a concert, doing
workshops, improvisation, and more!
At Beyond Rock, 7-17 year olds of all ability levels have a blast playing in rock bands, writing songs, recording, playing theater games,and more. Workshops are offered in technique, stage presence, music software, the music industry, and more, and students perform in a real rock concert at a major music club (Mulcahy’s inWantagh).
We’re about music,and about so much more – changing lives –helping kids move past their fears – and creating a space that many say is their “favorite place on earth,” calling it “the one place where I feel trulyaccepted” and so much more.
In a fun, supportive, community, kids build confidence, make great friends, free creativity, and grow as musicians and as people. Certified teachers and professional musicians give lots of personal attention (4:1 minimum ratio).
In 10 years, on feedback forms, every student has loved it! A unheard of success rate, we’ve never had one rating below a “very good,” had about 5 “very goods” and every other student rated us excellent. Find out why!
