The Herricks Milan Senior Group, which brings together seniors of South Asian descent for socializing, greeted Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth at its May 9 meeting.
Because these seniors often live isolated existences due to cultural and linguistic barriers, Milan encourages them to integrate and socialize with the at-large senior community.
Among those in attendance were 101-year-old Mukund Vyas, whom Bosworth spoke with, along with the nearly 100 seniors at the event
