Burglar Tries to Enter Multiple New Hyde Park Homes: Police
BREAKING: The man unsuccessfully targeted three homes on the same block Friday night, police say.

A New York City man was arrested for attempting to burglarize three New Hyde Park homes on Friday night, police say.
Officers responded to a 911 call regarding a man, later identified as 29-year-old Steven Rizzo, attempting to enter a Steven Avenue home through the rear door at around 10:53 p.m.
Rizzo fled the scene when officers arrived but was stopped by police at the corner of Maple Drive West and Lakeville Road, police say.

An investigation revealed Rizzo also attempted to enter two additional homes on Stephen Avenue through rear windows, police say.
He was arrested without incident and charged with three counts of second-degree burglary. He will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
