Cops Nab Nassau Gas Station Robber: Police

Police publicly released videos from the armed robbery​ earlier this week to help identify the culprit.

A Queens man was arrested Wednesday for robbing a Bellerose gas station at gunpoint on Sunday. Nov. 27, police said.

According to authorities, Daniel Dowd, 37, of Queens Village, went behind the register at 76 Gas Station, located at 248-02 Jericho Turnpike, and demanded cash while displaying a black handgun at 2:56 a.m.

The 27-year-old employee complied and the robber fled the store with the proceeds north on 91st Street. No injuries were reported.
