Ex-Employee Brandishes Gun

A man who had recently been fired from Air-Now at 190 Atlantic Avenue threatened employees with a handgun while trying to pick up his paycheck on Thursday at about 6:15 p.m., according to a report from the .

Employees would not release a paycheck to Kevin Fortin, 25, of Island Park because he had not turned in his uniform. No one was hurt during the incident and Fortin was arrested at his home; police found a pellet gun there.

Fortin is being charged with second degree menacing and fourth degree possession of a dangerous weapon. He will be arraigned in First District court in Hempstead on Friday.
