Herricks School Budget Passes, Board Members Elected

Voters have decided on a proposed 2015-16 budget.

Herricks residents approved the school district’s $108.2 million proposed budget on Tuesday by a margin of 1,298-495, according to the school district.

The budget includes a 0.60 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 1.62 percent tax levy increase, which is within the state’s tax cap.

Incumbents Nancy Feinstein and Brian Hassan ran unopposed and were re elected to the Herricks School Board.
