Nassau Woman, Her Mother Ran Sex Trafficking 'Massage Parlor' Business: AG

Authorities executed search warrants at two Nassau massage parlors that were allegedly involved in the operation.

A New Hyde Park woman and her mother were arrested Tuesday for running two separate sex trafficking enterprises disguised as massage parlors, according to Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey’s Office.

Ting Ting Yin, 26, of New Hyde Park, allegedly transported the women from New Hyde Park to locations in Massachusetts, such as Hadley, East Longmeadow and Framingham.

The months-long investigation revealed Li and her mother Feng Ling Liu, 50, of Sunderland, MA, were leaders of two similar operations where they allegedly offered sexual activity between women and buyers in exchange for a fee.

Massachusetts authorities executed search warrants at a residence and at two massage parlors in New Hyde Park that were involved in the operation, the AG says.

The Nassau County District Attorney’s Office arrested Yin and charged her with trafficking of persons for sexual servitude, deriving support from prostitution, money laundering and conspiracy. A hearing for Yin will be scheduled at a later date.

According to the AG, Liu, with help from her husband Jian Song, 48, of Sunderland, MA, managed the financial aspects of the operation, including:

  • Recruiting women
  • Advertising sexual services online
  • Setting up appointments for sexual encounters
  • Transporting women

Liu and Song, who was also arrested, received the majority of the profits from these sexual encounters, the AG says. Liu also allegedly arranged for most of the trafficking victims to stay in the same buildings where they were trafficked.

“We are proud of the investigation by the Northwestern District Anti-Crime Task Force in helping dismantle these two human trafficking operations,” said Northwestern District Attorney David E. Sullivan. “The sexual exploitation and servitude of the victims in these operations is deplorable.

Also arrested was Shuzi Li, 52, of West Springfield, who allegedly trafficked women between Flushing, Queens and her Massachusetts businesses in Northampton and Agawa.

The AG says Li recruited women, advertised sexual services online, set up appointments for sexual encounters and arranged for transportation for the women. The women would stay in the same rooms where Li arranged for them to provide sexual services to buyers for a fee, the AG says. Li would receive the majority of the profits from these sexual encounters, according to the AG.

AG Healey’s Victim Services Division says it is working with victim service organizations to ensure the 10 human trafficking victims have the assistance and services they need.

These investigations are ongoing.
