North Hempstead BeachFeast Celebration is Sunday in Port Washington

A food and spirits festival that runs from 12-5 p.m.

Attention, foodies: North Hempstead’s first ever BeachFeast celebration is Sunday. The food and spirits festival takes place at North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington from 12-5 p.m.

Supervisor Judi Bosworth expects the festival to become an annual tradition.

“This the first year that we will be hosting this event, and we hope that our residents enjoy the opportunity to taste some new foods and some old favorites, all while having a great afternoon on the beach,” she said.

Residents will be able eat, drink and enjoy the music at a bistro setting steps away from the beachand Hempstead Harbor. Music and entertainment will be provided by Jimmy Kenny and the PirateBeach Band and FiveStone, a local band from North Hempstead.

BeachFeast will also have vendors on hand selling food and spirits. This year’s lineup includes Long Island Festival Caterers, Gorilla Cheese NYC, Ponti Rossi, Andy’s Italian Ices and Espresso Bar, Gino’s Pizza, Alfredo, Carl’s Steaks, Crooked Ladder Brewing Company, Glen Cove Brewery and more.

The event is free of charge, with a $10 parking fee per vehicle. For more information, please call 311.
