Police Seeking Man Who Robbed Nassau Hotel

BREAKING: Police have released surveillance footage of a robbery at a Nassau hotel early Friday morning.

A man who said he had a gun robbed a Nassau County hotel early Friday morning, police said.

According to Nassau Police, the man entered the Floral Park Motor Lodge located at 30 Jericho Turnpike at 2:28 a.m., approached a 48-year-old female desk clerk and demanded cash.

The man then grabbed the employee by the hair and demanded to know the location of money. The woman pointed to a top desk drawer and the man hen removed an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The robber then fled on foot west on Jericho Turnpike. There were no injuries reported.

The robber is described as black, about 5-foot-8, 30-35 years-old, with a stocky build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, a dark hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants and gray sneakers.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
