Port Washington Designer Donates Design to Ronald McDonald House
Interior designer Keith Baltimore contributes expertise to a new family residence at Ronald McDonald House of Long Island in New Hyde Park.

Port Washington interior designer Keith Baltimore has donated his interior design expertise to a new family residence at Ronald McDonald House of Long Island in New Hyde Park.
The collaboration enables Baltimore to support Ronald McDonald House in its mission “to transform a portion of the house as a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children,” according to a news release.

“The renovation of Ronald McDonald House resonated with me for its permanence and mission,” Baltimore said.
His design features “calming blues, refreshing white, and warm mahogany is reminiscent of a ship’s stateroom docked at a port for a brief visit,” indicating hat the stay there is only temporary and that outside “there is hope at the end,” according to the new release.

Baltimore said that he wants families enduring such trauma take find that the bedroom “embrace[s] them like a warm hug from me.”
A frequent contributor to design showhouses, Baltimore liked that this particular room is a permanent exhibition.
Baltimore’s room is open to the public during the Project Design 2014 Open House from Oct. 10-19, 2014 at Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, 267-07 76th Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY 11040; Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Following the renovation of Keith’s room and those of 44 other designers, there is a fundraising Gala on Friday October 9, 2014. Master of Ceremonies is Ryan Serhant, star of Bravo TV’s Million Dollar Listing New York.
