Preschoolers Salute NY Sports Teams

The students at Little Sprouts Preschool in New Hyde Park recently celebrated "Sports Shirt Day." The annual event coincides with the start of the Major League Baseball season each spring. While team shirt choices were not confined to the Mets and Yankees, baseball team colors did dominate the day. The children also showed off Jets, Giants, Rangers, Islanders and Knicks jerseys, as well as those of local teams like the New Hyde Park Centennials. Special activities, crafts, snacks and stories rounded out the festivities. Little Sprouts Preschool is a ministry of the Christ Lutheran Church. A few openings remain for the 2014-15 school year.
