Voters Approve Sewanhaka School Budget

Sewanhaka residents approved a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.

The $184,143,004 budget was approved by a margin of 3,572-1,290. The budget is a 2.98 percent increase in spending over the current year and it comes with a 0.40 percent tax levy increase.

Trustees Joseph Armocida and Joan Romagnoli have elected to give up their seats on the Sewanhaka Board of Education. Their respective elementary school boards will appoint replacements in July.
