both the Men’s and Women’s Adelphi Tennis Team. Heading the list is Coach
Walter Giacometti, who will bring over 35 years of experience working with top
ranked local players, as well as his very popular children’s program called

“Summer is for kids, and with
this tennis program, we are hoping to invest in our kids through the means of
playing tennis. Out of this program, we might just find the next great tennis
star,” said Coach Giacometti, coordinator of the Tiger Tennis Summer Program,
which is geared toward children 7-18 years of age and for all levels from
beginners to advance high school players.

Asked how specifically this
summer's tennis clinic will work, Coach Giacometti pointed out:

·
Each day starts at 11am and will include two
hours of drills and practice.

·
At one o’clock, all the students will have lunch
at the on-campus cafeteria.

·
When the students return at 2 p.m., there will
be one hour of off-court training and games that will take place either on the
soccer field, adjacent to the tennis courts or in the gymnasium.

·
The final hour is the match play hour where all
students will compete against other students of similar ability.

“Not only will coaches Giacometti
and Misiti be working with the students, but also some of the Adelphi tennis players
will be coaching as well to share their extensive knowledge to each of our
participating students,” said Coach Giacometti.  “They will make your child’s summer tennis
experience one they won’t forget,” noted Coach Misiti, who is promising with a
staff of over 50-plus years of experience that this year’s program will prepare
beginners who want to learn to play and the seasoned player who wants to take
his game to the next level, maybe even a Scholarship Player.
