18th Season for The Symphony of Westchester Opens with All-Beethoven Program

The Symphony of Westchester, featuring Concertmaster Alex Abayev, will open its 18th concert season at Iona College on Sat., Nov. 8 at 8 p.m

Abayev will perform Egmont Overture, Violin Concerto, op. 61 in D Major, in the all-Beethoven program, which also includes Symphony no 6, op. 68 in F Major. In addition to being the Symphony’s concertmaster, Abayev performs as a soloist and chamber musician in the United States and abroad and participates in many international music festivals.

The concert is at Iona’s Christopher J. Murphy Auditorium, 715 North Ave., New Rochelle. Ticket prices are $50 general admission, $35 seniors (65+) and $15 students.
