2 Arrested For $1M New Rochelle Jewelry Heist: Police

The investigation remains open because a third suspect has not yet been located.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Two Brooklyn men have been accused of participating in a $1 million New Rochelle jewelry store burglary. Captain Robert Gazzola of the New Rochelle Police Department said a search warrant was executed during the early morning hours of April 5 at various locations in Brooklyn and Manhattan related to the Feb. 2 burglary of the New Rochelle Coin, Stamp and Jewelers, located at 20-1/2 Division St.

Police said that during the search several items of evidence were located and two men were taken into custody.

The arrests were the result of an extensive, months-long investigation into the New Rochelle burglary and similar ones in other communities believed to have been committed by the two men, police said.
