25 Days Of Holiday Volunteering — Day 21: Meals On Wheels

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — 'Tis the season for giving back to your community. There are a number of ways that you and your family can help out and help others.

Every day through Christmas, Patch will be highlighting a way you can provide compassion and resources to those in need.

Volunteer New York! makes it easy to find ways to help — through donations, supporting nonprofits and even volunteering at home.

Today's opportunity is Drivers to Deliver Meals. Meals-on-Wheels of New Rochelle Inc. is looking for volunteers to deliver meals to seniors.

The volunteers will meet at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital at 11 a.m. any day of the week, pick up pre-packed boxes of meals and receive the addresses where they'll be taking them.

Meal delivery takes about two hours.
