4 Now Charged In Fatal New Rochelle Stabbing
The victim and the teenagers who were indicted are all New Rochelle High School students.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A fourth teenager faces charges in the fatal stabbing of Valaree Schwab, 16, a New Rochelle High School student. The 15-year-old was charged as a juvenile.
He was charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence, felonies, and his name won’t be released because he was not charged as an adult, lohud.com said.
On Wednesday, a grand jury issued three indictments in Schwab’s death. Z’inah Brown, 17, was indicted for murder and manslaughter and the criminal possession of a weapon.

Brown, Dominique Slack, 17, and Carl Booker, 17, were indicted for gang assault and two counts of stalking.
Slack and Booker also face an assault charge.

According to prosecutors, on Jan. 10, a group of New Rochelle teens physically confronted and assaulted Schwab on North Avenue, injuring her.
Schwab dropped her keys, someone in the group picked them up, and she followed them to a nearby Dunkin’ Donuts to get them back.
Police said Brown stabbed Schwab, who died later that day.
All of the teens involved were New Rochelle High School students.
