The judge provided temporary orders of protection on behalf of the victim.
Medina's case was adjourned to July 14, and Lonell's case was adjourned to July 16. Both defendants have posted bail.
"The assaults the victim was made to endure were amplified tenfold when she was revictimized over and over again during an unsparing, alleged attack," DA Cacace said. "I am proud of her bravery and composure in coming forward to share her story with the police, and I will honor this bravery by doing everything in my power to hold these defendants accountable for what they allegedly did to her that day. All rape survivors have a champion in my office."
According to a felony complaint, on Oct. 10, 2025, Medina raped the victim near New Rochelle High School. After the rape, Medina lured the victim to another area nearby, where he was joined by Lonell and a third person. They then punched and kicked the victim repeatedly, during which Medina snatched the victim's purse from her, according to the complaint.
The victim was eventually able to escape and was helped by a good Samaritan.
Medina, Lonell and the third person kept the victim's purse, according to the complaint.
The case was investigated by the New Rochelle Police Department, and is being prosecuted by Assistant DA Daniela Pisahov.
