AD3I Names The College of New Rochelle's Ellis Student-Athlete of the Month
CNR's Jah-Leah Ellis has been named the AD3I Student-Athlete of the Month for November

The Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) announced the conference’s Student-Athletes of the Month for November, and The College of New Rochelle’s women’s basketball forward Jah-Leah Ellis (Harlem, NY/Hun School of Princeton) has been named the Female Student-Athlete of the Month recipient.
This marks the second time in her career that Ellis has received this honor, as she also was named AD3I Student-Athlete of the Month for November 2013.
Ellis got off to a strong start to her 2014-15 campaign in the month of November, averaging 21.8 points, 17.5 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.2 steals per game in leading The College of New Rochelle to a 5-1 record. She led the team in rebounds in every game and produced five double-doubles. She fell one assist short of the program’s first triple-double in the Blue Angels’ Dr. Betty Shabazz Tournament championship game win over Yeshiva University, recording game-highs with 28 points, 27 rebounds and nine assists, adding four steals and three blocks. In the opening round win over College at Old Westbury, the senior was also on the precipice of a triple-double, tallying game-highs with 25 points, 27 rebounds, eight assists and three steals. The 27 rebound performances mark career-highs for the forward, and are the top two single-game totals in NCAA DIII to date. Ellis earned Tournament MVP honors at the Dr. Betty Shabazz Tournament as well as the season opening Women’s College Tip-Off Tournament, averaging 23.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in wins over Cedar Crest College and Notre Dame of Maryland University.
