AD3I Names Jasmine Brandon Player of the Week for Basketball

The College of New Rochelle’s sophomore center Jasmine Brandon (Jersey City, NJ/St. Anthony HS) has been selected by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) as the Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.  This marks the second consecutive week Brandon has received this honor and the third time in four weeks that the AD3I has recognized a Blue Angel.

Brandon averaged 26.0 points and 14.3 rebounds per game on the week, as she extended her streak of consecutive games with 20 or more points to six and her double-double streak to four.  In the Blue Angels’ road win over Bard College, which upped The College of New Rochelle’s record to 7-1 and matched the best start in program history, the sophomore center tallied 23 points and 10 rebounds in a 69-50 win.  Brandon followed that effort up with 29 points and 19 rebounds at Mount Saint Vincent before concluding the week with a 26-point, 14-rebound and 5-steal effort against Albany Pharmacy.
