Air Quality Alert Issued for Lower Hudson Valley
There are expected to be higher levels of ozone pollution.

With temperatures scheduled to be in the 90s Wednesday, much of the Hudson Valley will be under a health advisory.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Alert in effect from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

Air quality levels outdoors are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of ground-level ozone.
The state Department of Health recommends that people consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects.
