Beacon Man Arrested For Drug Possession With Intent To Sell
Police executed a search warrant at the man's home.

BEACON, NY — A Dutchess County man was arrested for allegedly possessing illegal drugs he intended to sell. State police said Derrick B. Lorick Sr., 55, of Beacon, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony.
Police said a search warrant was executed at Lorick's residence the morning of Nov. 1.
About 11.5 grams of cocaine, narcotics packaging and weighing equipment were located, police said.

Lorick was arrested at his residence without incident.
He was arraigned in the City of Beacon Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail on $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond.

Lorick is next scheduled to appear before the court Nov. 7.
The New York State Police Troop K Community Narcotics Enforcement Team was assisted by the NYSP Special Operations Response Team.
