Step inside several historic homes and see and learn about many more as we tour Litchfield County! Connecticut has been an attractive place to call home for authors, artists, and other creatives for generations. Here, they found quiet respite while also being close to the cultural hub of Manhattan. Our Creative Connecticut tour will highlight historic homes that once belonged to talented creatives in and around Roxbury, such as novelist Frank McCourt, sculptor Alexander Calder, and Marilyn Monroe. We will discuss the variety of architectural styles reflected in their homes, including ones from the colonial period and early 20th century, as well as their lives and creative contributions! Join us for this unique experience to see historic homes, inside and out, and immerse yourself in culture and history. Offered one time only! Space is limited. This is a guided tour. Participants will travel the tour itinerary in their own vehicle. Details about the historic buildings at each location will be provided by your guide, including the historic homes that will be featured as interior tours.
