ArtsFest 2026 - Adult Art Workshop: Paper Cutting Traditions

Fall 2026 Adult Art Workshops - Get creative at NRPL! Join us each month to explore different mediums and create imaginative works of art.

Featured Workshop: Paper Cutting Traditions

In celebration of ArtsFest 2026 and as part of our Between Two Worlds program which explores Jewish culture and religion through Yiddish language, we will learn about paper cutting traditions around the world, with a focus on Jewish paper cuts - used for wedding contracts , book illustrations and other artifacts. Join us and try out this beautiful craft.

No registration is required, but please arrive on time and no later than  10:30 am to ensure ample time to hear the instructor’s directions and complete the project; depending on the project, we may be unable to accommodate late arrivals.

Presented as part of the Yiddish Book Center’s Public Libraries Program, in partnership with the ALA and funded by the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
