Father Stabs Son On New Year's Day: PD
The son underwent emergency surgery and is in critical condition.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A New Year's argument led to a father being accused of stabbing his son in New Rochelle. Nelson Vargas, 50, of New Rochelle, was charged Wednesday with felony first-degree assault.
The altercation happened around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday in a home on Drake Avenue, the Journal News reported.
The father stabbed his son, police said, after hearing an answer to question that he apparently didn't like.
