2 Firefighters Injured Battling Blaze At Church: UPDATE
The church is located on Lockwood Avenue in New Rochelle.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Two firefighters received minor injuries, and were hospitalized, battling a blaze at the Zion Baptist Church in New Rochelle Thursday. The fire burned for more than two hours with thick smoke billowing into the air.
Fire Chief Andy Sandor told the Journal News that the church had a lot of void spaces inside it along with a lot of dry wood, which made the fire labor intensive for firefighters.
Authorities said no one was in the church at the time of the fire.
