Man Arrested In Connection To 4 Downtown New Rochelle Burglaries

The break-ins at businesses on Main Street and Centre Street took place on Dec. 14, 16 and 19. A Yonkers man has been charged.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle police have gotten to the bottom of a string of recent break-ins.

The New Rochelle Police Department announced today that on Monday, detectives arrested a Yonkers man in connection to four recent commercial burglaries.

Dorian K. Holliday was charged with four felony counts of burglary in the third degree.

The burglaries took place during the early morning hours over a stretch of five days in the downtown area of New Rochelle. Burglaries of two businesses on the 500 block of Main St. were reported on Dec. 14 and 16, as well as two more of adjoining businesses on the 100 block of Centre Ave. on Dec. 19.

Investigators developed leads that led to the stop of a man fitting the description of the 32-year-old suspect. An investigation by New Rochelle detectives ultimately linked Holliday to all four burglaries, officials said.
