Monday A.M. Fire Damages New Rochelle House
Fire officials said the fire started in the attic.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The cause of a Monday morning fire in New Rochelle is still under investigation. Fire officials said the blaze broke out in the attic of a house on Amherst Road a little after 9 a.m.
Firefighters eventually had to cut a hole in the roof to vent lots of thick smoke which hampered being able to fight the fire, News 12 said.
No one was injured.
