New Rochelle on New List of 'Best Cities' in the USA

The Queen City of the Sound should be considered by those looking to make a move, according to 24/7Wall St.

A new list of the 50 best U.S. cities to live in includes one Hudson Valley community. New Rochelle clocked in at No. 37, according to online financial news and opinion media outlet 24/7 Wall St.

"Moving from one city to another is much more common in the United States than it used to be," the writers said. "A host of factors play an important role in deciding where to move, including the quality of schools, the strength of the local economy and job market, safety, culture, and even climate. Americans facing this decision have much to consider."

What methodology did 24/7 Wall St. use? To make their list, the writers said they reviewed data on the 550 U.S. cities with populations of 65,000 or more as measured by the U.S. Census Bureau, and based the rankings on a range of variables, including crime rates, employment growth, access to restaurants and attractions, educational attainment, and housing affordability.
