New Rochelle Police Arrest 57-Year-Old Mt. Vernon Man On Gun Charges

Police responding to a tip seized a loaded .38 caliber revolver from the suspect who was found near North Avenue and Sickles Avenue.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A report about a man with an illegal handgun led police to a 57-year-old Mount Vernon man.

On Thursday, shortly after 6 p.m., New Rochelle police responded a tip about a man in illegal possession of a handgun near North Avenue and Sickles Avenue. Officers spotted a person fitting the description given. A man, later identified as Patric Brown, was stopped and a loaded .38 caliber revolver seized, according to police.

Brown was placed under arrest and brought to Police Headquarters for booking. He now faces a felony criminal possession of a weapon charge.
