New Rochelle Police Searching For Suspect In Daylight Stabbing
Police said they believed the attack was not random.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A man was stabbed Saturday on Huguenot Street in the middle of the day. New Rochelle police said officers were sent shortly after noon to 360 Huguenot St. for a report of an assault.
Officers found a man who had a laceration across the right side of his face.
He told the police he had been waiting in his car in the valet area outside the lobby of the building when he was stabbed.

Police said the man was vague while being interviewed, and they believe the attack was not random.
The man was taken to an area hospital with an injury that is not thought to be life-threatening.

Police said the suspect was described as a Black man between 20 and 25 years old. He had a thin build and was about 5-foot, 7-inches tall. He was wearing all black clothing. He fled the area on foot, traveling west on Huguenot Street.
