NEW ROCHELLE, NY — It's time for a little spring cleaning right here at home and the City of New Rochelle is looking to the community to lend a hand.

Volunteer New York! and the City of New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department are joining forces for a massive citywide clean-up and beautification project at twelve neighborhood and waterfront parks over two days in April. The two days of community service are planned as a follow-up to Earth Week celebrations on April 23 and 24.

"We are grateful for the opportunity to once again partner with Volunteer New York! and the public at this 2-day, City-wide Earth Day Parks Cleanup Weekend, now at 12 sites throughout New Rochelle," Parks and Recreation Commissioner Vin Parise said in a statement announcing plans for the huge annual undertaking. "As we prepare for the warmer months ahead and look forward to thousands of park visitors, we welcome all to be a part of this great weekend of giving back to our parks & trails."
