New Rochelle Woman Accused Of Drunken Driving On Thruway

The arrest came after an accident on I-95.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A New Rochelle woman was accused of driving while more than twice the legal limit for alcohol following an accident on the Thruway. State police said they responded to a car accident a little after 12:30 a.m. March 10 on I-95 in Rye.

Tashana L. McLaren, 28, of New Rochelle, who was the driver, was found to be intoxicated, police said.

She was uninjured as a result of the accident.

McLaren was taken to the Tarrytown barracks where her blood alcohol content was found to be 0.19 percent, police said.

She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and vehicle and traffic violations.

McLaren was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Rye Court April 12.
