NYS Crime Stoppers Offers Reward in August Shooting of 79-Year-Old Man in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The family of the man shot in New Rochelle August 6 while he sat outside a bodega wants answers as to why he was killed.
Manuel Ayala-Oceguera’s family was joined by New Rochelle Police Commissioner Patrick Carroll and the New York State Crime Stoppers at a press conference Wednesday seeking help from the public to solve the shooting death, lohud.com said.
Ayala-Oceguera, 79, was found with a gunshot wound to his chest around 11:15 p.m. August 6. He was sitting outside a corner store at 238 Union Ave.

New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads directly to the arrest and conviction of whomever was responsible for the death of Ayala-Oceguera.
