Glenn will use the experience and national network from this program to deepen how New Rochelle students learn about climate change, equity, Indigenous knowledge, and coping with climate-related anxiety in their own community.

Led by New Rochelle High School Eco-Ambassador teachers and local partners, the training supports a growing learn-and-earn program for students and advances plans for a future Coastal Education & Resilience Center in the city.

• Boyfriend on trial in fatal shooting of woman in New Rochelle apartment (mpnnow.com) — A murder trial is underway in Westchester County for Robert Wooten, accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend in her luxury New Rochelle apartment at One Clinton Park in 2024. Prosecutors say he fired five shots in anger as she tried to end the relationship, while his defense claims he acted in self-defense after years of alleged abuse.
