Report: New Rochelle Schools Sued by Disabled Student for $26 Million
The lawsuit was filed by Richard Feltenstein and his daughter Jennifer Feltenstein, who was left in a second-floor area of the high school.

A wheelchair-bound student, who was left in a New Rochelle school during a fire emergency in 2013, has sued the school district for a second time and is now seeking $26 million damages, according to The Journal News.
The lawsuit was filed by Richard Feltenstein and his daughter Jennifer Feltenstein, who was left in a second-floor area of the high school in January 2013 while other students were evacuated.
“The high school literally abandoned her and lied about it,” the lawsuit states, as quoted by The Journal News. Feltenstein, another student and their aides were left in an area the school believed was safe when a small electrical fire broke out and was quickly extinguished.
