Sentence In Stolen Credit Cards Case
Prosecutors said the man used the stolen cards to buy almost $9,000 worth of wine and designer goods.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A New Rochelle man will be spending time in prison after pleading guilty to stealing people's personal credit cards from sports club gym lockers. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. said Ivan Vrabec, 49, of New Rochelle, was sentenced Wednesday to two to four years in state prison.
Vrabec pleaded guilty Dec. 4 to first-degree identity theft, a felony.

- On Dec. 14, 2018, he stole a credit card from the men's locker room at the New York Sports Club in Dobbs Ferry. Police said he opened the combination lock on the victim's locker and put it back on without the victim knowing someone had broken into it. He used the victim's stolen credit card to buy more than $660 worth of wine from the Westchester Wine Warehouse in Greenburgh.
- On or around the same date, Vrabec admitted to using stolen credit card belonging to a Hastings-on-Hudson resident to buy high-end designer goods valued at about $8,035.
His guilty plea covered both incidents.
