UJA-Federation Communities Celebrate Holidays at Senior Living Facility

Gift of Chanukah makes holidays brighter for agency clients

UJA-Federation of New York’s Tov B’Yachad and New Rochelle communities kicked off the holiday season for the residents at Kittay House, an independent senior living facility in the Bronx run by Jewish Home Lifecare, a UJA-Federation beneficiary agency. (Tov B’Yachad communicates the shared values of the Orthodox community and UJA-Federation of New York.) The event was part of the Gift of Chanukah, a program during which the organization’s communities in Westchester host parties with clients at a number of agencies it supports.

“You may not realize this, but UJA supports nearly 100 health, human-service, educational, and community agencies — including the one we’re in right now…Kittay House,” AnneBeth Levenson of White Plains told the gathering. Levenson served as co-chair of the event with Jill Goldfein and Elizabeth Trump, both of New Rochelle. More than 60 people came to play Bingo, do crafts, and enjoy holiday treats with more than 150 Kittay House residents.
