Water Main Break Leads To Police Cruiser Being Rear-ended In New Rochelle
The officer was suffered a minor injury as a result.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A water main break early Sunday morning on Main Street in New Rochelle ended up blocking two lanes near the entrance to I-95 around 2:20 a.m. There was some flooding of the parking lot at the New Rochelle Diner, but a police cruiser blocking a lane was rear-ended around 3:30 a.m. by an SUV.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of being drunk, and the officer suffered a minor injury, FIOS1 News said.
