Westchester Man Faces Felony DWI Charge: NYSP

Police said he had a prior drunken driving charge within the past 10 years.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Westchester man was accused of felony drunken driving after a traffic stop on I-287 in Harrison. State police said Johncarlos Valencia, 28, of New Rochelle, was stoped around 3:45 a.m. March 24.

Police said he was intoxicated, and he was taken to the New Rochelle barracks, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.12 percent.

Additionally, he was found to have a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years.

As a result, Valencia was charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony, and vehicle and traffic violations.

He was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court April 9.
