Woman Indicted In August Stabbing

Police found the victim sitting on the sidewalk with a knife in his back.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle woman who was accused of stabbing a man in August was indicted for attempted murder. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. said Thursday that a grand jury indicted Autumn Graham, 45, of New Rochelle, on the following charges:

  • Second-degree attempted murder, a felony
  • First-degree assault, a felony
  • Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.

She remains in custody pending bail. Her next court date is Jan. 28.

Police said, around 8:45 a.m. Aug. 3, a 38-year-old man left his apartment to go to work.

As he walked in front of 345 Main St. in New Rochelle, Graham walked in his direction.

She then stopped, police said, stabbed him in the back of the left/shoulder area and walked away.

Police found the man sitting on the sidewalk. He was conscious but in extreme pain. The knife was still in his back.

He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx with serious injuries to his spinal cord.
