Yonkers Man Accused Of Attempted Murder In New Rochelle
Police said the man shot at several people from a moving car.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Yonkers man was arrested after being accused of trying to kill people while shooting at them. New Rochelle police said Stephen Hugh, 24, of Yonkers, was charged Friday with second-degree attempted murder, a felony.
Police said, shortly before 10 p.m. July 20, officers responded to the area around Horton Avenue and Brook Street for a report of shots fired.
An investigation found that four shots had been fired from a moving car at several people. No injuries were reported, police said.

New Rochelle police detectives said they identified the car and Hugh as the person involved in the shooting.
He is being held for arraignment, police said, and no further information will be released at this time.
