2 At LI Party Struck By Shots Fired From Moving Vehicle

The vehicle from which the shots were fired was described as a newer model, light colored, Nissan 4-door sedan, police say.

SHIRLEY, NY — Two people at a party in Shirley were struck by shots fired from a moving vehicle Saturday night, police said.

According to Suffolk County Police, Seventh Squad detectives are investigating the incident, which took place at 11:30 p.m. on West Parkview Drive.

A large group of people attending a party at a home Parkview Drive were on both the front lawn and the roadway in front of the residence when the shots were fired in their direction, police said. A 41-year-old Mastic Beach woman was shot in the leg and a 32-year-old Coram man was shot in the foot; both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
