3 Kait's Angels Events Honor Young Mattituck Woman Lost Too Soon
Kait's Angels will host three upcoming events to raise funds to help those in need in the community and keep Kaitlyn Doorhy's legacy alive.

NORTH FORK, NY — August 22 will mark seven years since Kaitlyn Doorhy, a former Mattituck Strawberry Queen, died after being struck by a car while away at college. She was just 20 years old.
In the years since her unthinkable loss, Kaitlyn's legacy of giving back and caring for those in need has lived on through Kait's Angels, a not-for-profit organization organized in her memory to perform good works in the community. Kait's Angels, according to the organization's website, provides financial support, emotional assistance, and other services to people with health issues, employment interruption, and other emergencies.
"We sponsor age-appropriate school assemblies that deliver positive messages of reinforcement to young people in the community, deliver constructive inspiration through our various social media platforms, and aspires to ensure a progressive environment full of opportunity for our North Fork community," the group said.
