Annual North Fork Chili Cook-Off Set To Spice Things Up
The event takes place on March 6 at the Greenport Harbor Brewery's Peconic location.

NORTH FORK, NY — A popular event is back this year as the Greenport Harbor Brewery's Annual North Fork Chili Cook-Off unfolds.
The event takes place on Sunday, March 6 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Greenport Harbor Brewery's Peconic location at 42155 Main Road as a number of local chefs from iconic North Fork eateries vie for the first-place win.
This year’s participants include such restaurants as Ellen’s on Front, First & South, Port, Lucharitos, Mattitaco, Crazy Beans, and more. They will be vying for two awards: the Judge’s
Choice Award, plus the People’s Choice Award — voted upon by all those who come to the
event.

Members of Greenport Brewery’s staff will also be participating with their own chili
recipes and looking to win the People’s Choice Award, as well.

Chef Cheryl Stair: Owner of Art of Catering & Event Planning in the Hamptons
Restaurateur Matthew Michel: Owner of 1943 Pizza Bar, Rolling in Dough Pizza Truck and partner at Brix & Rye Cocktail Lounge in Greenport
Chef Lihn Trieu: Owner of Wednesday's Table Cafe in Southold
Chef Ursula XVII: Chocolatier and owner of Disset Chocolate in Cutchogue
Peter Treiber, Jr.: A farmer and artist based in Peconic,, as well as owner of Treiber Farms in Southold.
Also at the event, GHBC's Executive Brewer Pat Alfred will be re-releasing "The Hot
Sauce" IPA, brewed with Thai Bird Chili's and organic lime juice.
Tickets cost $20 and include entry into the event plus chili samplings. Tickets are available online here.
"Come try some incredible chili, have a beer and cast your vote," GHBC said in a release.
