Check out the NFCT's audition schedule, varsity show and new art gallery.

There's a lot going on at the North Fork Community Theatre in Mattituck.

First up, NFCT is ready to lift the curtain on the 10th Annual Variety Show. The show includes talent from all ages; funds raised are used for scholarships awarded to graduating seniors from area high schools each spring.

The show will be performed on Jan. 3 and 4 at 8 p.m. and Jan. 5 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased at the door. Seating is first come, first served.

For the first time, NFCT will also present a new art show; a "Meet the Artist" reception for artist Patricia Feiler will be held prior to the opening night of the NFCT Variety Show at 7 p.m. on Jan. 3.

The new art gallery at NFCT will feature the Mattituck resident Feiler's work through May 1. Her solo show,  "North Fork Stories in Light and Color" features 15 works in oil and acrylic on canvas that range in size from 16" x 16" (Wednesday Night Race") and 30" x 30" (Snow Covered Spruce) to the expansive 24" x 48 "Richmond Creek."

In addition to the 15 works, framed photo reproductions will also available for purchase. Feiler will donate a portion of the proceeds to the NFCT Renovation Campaign. For information and sales contact Mary Motto-Kalich at 917-334-6639 or Patricia Feilerpfeiler@optonline.net.
