Join us on for an informative session with Dr. Aral (PBMC), a radiation oncologist practicing in Riverhead and New Hyde Park. He will discuss the use of low-dose radiation therapy as a noninvasive option for managing arthritis and other painful inflammatory conditions. Many adults in the community live with osteoarthritis and do not always find sufficient relief from medications, injections, or physical therapy. Recently, there has been renewed interest in this approach, with increasing attention due to patient-reported improvements. Dr. Aral will explain what the treatment is, how it works to reduce inflammation, what current research shows, and what individuals should consider before exploring it. This topic is especially timely during the winter months, when joint pain often worsens and people are seeking accessible ways to manage their health. Sponsored by East End Libraries.
