Don't Miss: Free Narcan Training On North Fork Wednesday Night
The event takes place in Greenport Wednesday.

GREENPORT, NY — With an eye toward preventing tragedy, a free public training session on how to respond to an opioid overdose with Narcan will be presented in Greenport Wednesday night.
The training is presented by Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital in collaboration with the Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. and Community Action for Social Justice, and takes from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Greenport Harbor Brewing Co., located at 234 Carpenter Street.
In addition, organizers said, the prevention of opioid overdoses in older adults is a "high-stake, infrequently discussed topic. Learn how to take steps to protect yourself from this growing public health issue."

The naxalone training will take place after a presentation and all who participate will receive a free Narcan kit.
