"Integration into the Community"

On Saturday, May 14, Dr. Bobby Newman will be speaking at the First Universalist Church of Southold.  The title of his talk is, “Integration Into the Community.”  Dr. Newman is the clinical services director at Room to Grow, a counseling service that provides training and consultation to agencies and schools using the applied behavior analytic methodology for students diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders.  Room to Grow provides ongoing evaluations and intervention consultation.  Clients include private families, public agencies and school districts.  In his talk on May 14 Dr. Newman will be speaking on issues related to the integration into the community of young people with severe behavioral issues.  Means of approaching such issues will be outlined and resources suggested.  The presentation will begin at 2 p.m. and will be followed by a question and answer session.
